Why nothing is uploaded
- Files never reach a server, so there is no path for them to leak.
- There is no size limit, because no server receives the file.
- Conversion finishes on your device, so there is no queue.
Questions
- Does nothing really get uploaded?
- Correct. Background removal runs inside a Web Worker in your browser, and the result file is created by the browser itself.
- Why is there a short wait the first time?
- To do the work locally, your browser has to fetch the tool that finds the background once. After that it is stored on this device and there is no wait.
- Is there a usage limit?
- No. Nothing is computed on a server, so processing more images costs us nothing.
- Why touch up by hand?
- Automatic detection can miss thin parts like fingers or hair. Just paint over those spots - nothing is recomputed, so it applies instantly.
